It is difficult to pick up your child at an exact time. We will have a an airconditioned "post training after-care" in the gym. Players can choose from a host of activities, while they stay cool and hydrated. From 11:30 AM until 1:00PM campers can have fun or relax while they wait for their transportation!

I coached my 11 year old sisters soccer team when I was merely 17. We were called the Potomac Golden Retrievers. One of our families had a Golden that wore a jersey at our games. We lost by one goal in the final game of the season. We had a really fast left-winger and another player with a tremendous foot. It was an incredible amount of fun. I will post a picture when I find one.
We concentrated often on the first touch to ensure the passing was not rushed and of good quality. Players looked for the ball to be cushioned but slightly out from their feet and they were always ready for the next pass. We challenged players to occassionally receive passes with the outside of their foot.
Of course there is always a strong advantage for the team in possession so we utilized plenty of space. We always made sure the defender worked hard to win the ball. If the player receiving the ball had time and space, the first touch was to be cushioned with a gentle-touch. We tried to make the practice competitive, and awarded points to the group who kept the ball the longest and we kept the score. |
